AMD APU E-350 or C-50 - How much of a bottle neck will it be for a smalll SSD?

I have an HTPC with an E-350 and a netbook with a C-50. I'm wondering if the lower speeds of this processors will make an small SSD worthlesss. Has anyone tried a combination of the two (APU and SSD)?

One of my friends has a crucial 128gb m4 paired with his lenovo e-350 ultraportable.

it boots up really really fast. of course its bottlenecking it to a certain extent but since he turns his computer on and off a lot there's more than enough gain.

how would it help the ssd? is yours always on? will it need massive read speeds?

It will definitely be worthwhile to get an SSD, even for low power processors.

In my opinion, it's even more important for such systems like netbooks to use SSD.

Just look at tablets, pairing ARM processors with flash storage.

I had a netbook with C60 and a kingston v100 64GB and it was just slightly faster than when it had a 5400rpm HDD in it. But it did make a difference in use. Anything else besides that SSD would most likely perform way better.

Having an SSD helps and it makes for a pretty decent upgrade for someone who already has a nettop/netbook. If someone were considering between nettop/netbook with SSD vs desktop/laptop (Llano or Pentium/Celeron Sandy/Ivy Bridge) with HDD, I'd suggest the latter. Atom and Zacate are just way too anemic.

Sorry to bump an old thread but it was not worth it to put an SSD in my netbook with a C-50. Just a heads up for anyone who was planning on doing it. There also isn't any point of having 4GB in a netbook either, just stick with the 2GB stick.
