So, which would be better in temps when using the same two top quality fans? the A70 or the Ninja 3 ? (or the rest, which should have similar temps)

The reason im asking you (the magical community of OCN) is because:
1. I am not completely closed on my end budget (i can afford these coolers but not sure about the NH-D14, which i still replace its fans for the well noticeable reason)
2. The legendary Hyper 212 Evo is not available in here (Israel...)
3. These are not as huge as the D14.
4. They look not bad.
5. All are priced the same. (maybe a buck or two difference)
6. Possibly the best available, when considering that this is the whole selection. (if you are interested, to get the US$ price divide by 3.85, even though it dynamically changes between 3.7 to almost 4 lately *sad face*)

ill do a little list to break the features down: (added a few links in there for convenience and to show some points)

Scythe Ninja 3:
1) Interesting and promising heatsink design. ( 1 , 2 )
2) good looking. (better than the D14, and nice flame thingy)
3) Open structure looks promising too.
4) Scythe fan clips are available. (may not seem like a big thing to you, but here its kinda important. its not like we have good E-tailors or great Noctua-like support in here)

Corsair A70:
1) Direct on die Heatpipe contact
2) Looks great (and kinda classy?).
3) Has a great and simple fan mount system.
4) 8mm heatpipes and conventional yet efficient design.
5) Comes with a splitter and reducers. (even though the SP120 comes with a reducer too)

Scythe Mugen 3:
1) Same (as compared across many reviews) performance as the Ninja 3.
2) Smaller when compared to the Ninja 3 (not to mention the D14)
3) Promising design too. ( 1, 2 )
4) Still very decent looking. (has its own unique beauty )

Scythe Mine 2:
1) Dual tower heatsink and generally promising design.
2) Simple yet good looking andsort off an rugged look.
3) performance should be good.

After this wall of text, Which should perform the best with two SP120 fans? Do you have any other offers?
Or maybe after all the difference in the temperatures between all of them is like 1-2C ?

I went with the mugen 3, it has a great price/performance ratio when used with 2 fans, and it has some rep here on israel (Yes, I am israeli)
Personally, I went with the D14 on my build, but the Mugen should perform very nice under an average overclock and ambient temps.
The Mine 2 is roughly 2~4c better then the Mugen, so just crank up 2 high CFM fans on the Mugen and you're good to go.
The Mugen is more aesthetic then the Mine (That's my opinion).

One more thing, Corsair compoments are jacked up on price, a H40 here costs as much as a D14, so I believe that the A70 is just a gimmick.

From my own experience and testing:

D14>>> Mine 2>Ninja3>Mugen3 >>>A70>212Evo

Good luck!

Ninja 3 is actually huge.

Probably twice the size of an a70 (not height obviously)

Does a great job tho!

Mounting system is super ez for it on 2011, 1155 is a bit of a pain though frown.gif

First, the H40 costs more than the D14.
Second, it looks like the A70 is a bit better than the 212Evo (which we dont have) so that should be a reasonable pro for it.

Theard opener, check out TMS.co.il build gallary, they have lots of Mugens 3/2 in there.
Basicly, if you go on one of those scythe's, just choose whatever you think looks the best, temp diff should not be that high.

But all of OCN is like:"212 Evo is the best, push pull on it is =~D14".
so which of the scythe coolers should perform the best? (even if its a 1C difference)

btw, thanks for all the input and support guys:thumb:

Sure at lower Clocks/Volts the difference between air coolers in general is not that big, but when i put 1,45V or more through my 1090T with a 212 the cpu shuts down in a matter of minutes, while a Silver Arrow or D14 keeps it easily under 60°C...
the 212 is popular because it's very cheap and good enough for most users.

In theory it's Mine 2 >Ninja 3=Mugen 2> Mugen 3

but keep in mind that with deviations in series production (not every heatpipe is as good as the next etc) it shouldnt matter too much.
