Windows 7 File Previews Disabled?

Thread Starter
I noticed the preview images for different file types like .pdf and .avi that usually appear are disabled in my windows explorer thinking.gif but Jpeg previews still work. I have tried doing this http://rickfoosusa.blogspot.ca/2011/11/howto-windows-7-re-enable-previews.html and everything was checked like it should be. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I have never had this happen.....

Aw. Are you able to uninstall it and then restart just to check? Or would that mess something up with the backups?
