Well this time it expanded the files to 62% before I got the error mad.gif

Could it be my dvd drive thats the issue? Or should I toss in my old WD 500gb with windows 7 already on it just to be able to us it for now?

whelp, i just googled it and it says that error is usually due to bad media, so your disc might be the problem. but if you can, get into command prompt off the disc and run chkdsk /f, it said it sometimes fixes it, but it will take a while, so do this as a last-ditch attempt, probably overnight.

Thanks for the suggestion +rep

I got impatient to try my new rig so I installed my 500GB HDD with my OS already installed until I can afford a new disc. I just need to research now on how to OC a locked PCU

My other was the same speed just had to eat a 500gb hit

From what I've heard, the windows cd is free to download and what you really pay for is the product key. If this is true, i recommend downloading a new copy of win7 and using the key you already have.

Just remember, that motherboard only has a 4+2 Phase Power design, don't expect incredible OC support from this board. frown.gif

On a good note I've read that the 1045T can get to at least 3.6ghz, maybe more and that is quite a good speed. Your biggest limiting factor will be heat though, the Hyper 212 is a great cooler, but it isn't like water cooling.

yeah, it is. plus you really shouldn't install a HDD with an OS already on it into a new system, it can cause a lot of issues.
