Need a headset for big ears - Page 2

They sound good to me. The 7.1 surround is probably the best I've heard in any headset. One CON of this headset - The bass isn't too great. Other than that, its great.

WHATEVER YOU DO. Please don't buy Trittons. Those things are cheap as hell. They break soooo easily.

There isn't really any bass and there's almost no sound separation, it's almost as messy sounding as my Sony xb700s.

I'm rockin Sennheiser 428s and a mic that's laying on my desk. Sounds great compared to the Corsairs. The whole 5.1/7.1 thing in headphones is just a big gimmick.

Ive

Currently I have a razer headset... Before installing the software my motherboard came with for sound, these headphones were crap. After installing all the apps for sound, I was able to really adjust them. I think a lot if it has to do with sound card, or motherboard sound and software. Talking from experience. wink.gif

I have the Vengeance 1300, which is the analog version of the 1500. The earpad's inner diameter measure about 6 cm horizontally and 7 cm vertically. That should give you some idea whether it should fit. IMO the Corsair isn't that comfortable. Although I could wear them for hours and hours, I feel their weight pressing on my head. Sennheisers don't do that, probably because they weigh considerably less and have better padding around the cups and the headband. I don't actually own Sennheiser headphones, but I've tried them on and the difference in comfort is night and day compared to the Corsair.

Can I get a set for roughly $120-$140?
