i am heading Microcenter tonight need help to pick a new board for my setup

AMD 960T
Readon 6870 1G
4GB DDR3

Please help since i am heading there in an hour

My vote would go something like this M5A97 Evo > M588-V Evo > M5A97. If you can swing it then the M5A99X Evo is slightly better than all of the ones you mentioned but at a higher cost.

Edited for clarity: the M5A97 Evo being the best choice IMHO.

M5A97 EVO! It would easily get that 960T unlocked and overclocked 4Ghz. thumb.gif

Just one problem I have noticed with the M5A97 EVO is that I can not get my memory to run at 1866 Mhz.. They are set to 1600 no matter what I do.. One of my problem might be that its my CPU. I am using a Phenom II 955 x4...

Another issue I have had with this board was that I tried to use the ASUS software to update my BIOS, hoping that would of solved my memory issue and it froze during the flash.. I was screwed out of a computer for about a month while ASUS RMAd my board... When I got the new board, I had the same memory issue..

Other than that, the board is great...

I didnt see a post that said you got your board yet and i know this isnt on the list but ,
Crosshair V formula is on sale at newegg with a promo code for 199. ... its simular... the price is premium but usually in this class of mobo you get what you pay for .
