how on earth did you get 200+ bucks...

erm

MATH:

game (in usd, and CA bucks thats the $ symbol)= 59.99 to 69.99 +plus taxes (taxes are where you live mind you)
plus 50.00 for ALL DLC apart of the premium (plus taxes where you live) equals 110-120 +taxes

URM URPA DURPA GOBLE DEE DEE, I SEE NO MORE COMING FEES, plus some pretty bad math on your part

I paid $60 for BF3, and now months later I don't even play it because I'd just be secondary since I refuse to use "premium". They slapped us customers in the face with that crap.

Or you could have just kept playing exactly like you were before and pretty much nothing would have changed?

Its not like you cant play the game unless you buy the premium pack is it?

If you don't want it and are happy to play the game as it is, then don't buy it and play the game as it is.

If you don't want it, but get upset and feel "secondary" every time you see someone with blue tiger camo on their F2000, then maybe you actually do want it lol tongue.gif

Don't try and justify overpriced DLC. The concept is wrong in every way, PC users should never have DLC, let alone that which gives one player a situational advantage over another just because he payed for it.

There was a time when PC gaming was about the complete customization of your play. Now if you get bored of the oldies, you're stuck with BF3.

A stock game, with stock maps, with stock servers, with stock gamemodes, with stock everything, and if you want to maybe have fun with the game, you have to pay an additional fee which here in the UK, costs more in the origin store than the game did initially.

Look, I'm trying my best not to complain about the game, but it just can't be left unsaid.

And before you say 'hurr durr if you don't like it, 'don't play it then'. This is the digital download era. There are no refunds, so everyone has the right to complain. You should not have to fight for your money back.

I know, right? £30 I paid for a copy of BF3. Now the only place to get BF3 Premium is Origin for £10 more than the game cost and I don't even get compensation for already owning B2K (which I paid £12 for). Then there's the unlock kits, which regardless of all the complaining and counter complaining, DOES give those with them an advantage over those that don't.

BF3 goes from being a £30 game to a £100 game (BF3 £39.99, BF Premium £39.99 and Unlocks £24.99)... So it's really no wonder their stock is tanking when, like the article says, gamers aren't happy with them. Of course there'll be those free market captialist guys that say "huh, don't like it don't buy it" but that doesn't cut it at all. It'd be ok if there was a cheaper place to buy these items but there isn't. It's overpriced Origin or nothing.

According to folk like Grizzle, people who aren't happy are the minority. This article shows otherwise.

I don't think they "ruined" The Sims. The Sims 3 is my favorite in the series. It has an issue with stability/bugs for many people, but I haven't had any big issues with it myself.

Definitely.

I may be wrong, but since the release of the Premium moneygrab, i've noticed my server list has become less populated than it once was. Way i see it, this is just a marketing ploy to encourage people to buy an overpriced gimmic. In the end, if i don't, it wouldn't surprise me if non-premium members like myself get left behind.

I always found The Sims to be an interesting idea that was never properly executed. It felt lackluster, like Spore, yet showed potential. And all we consistently see are idiotic "Stuff" packs that contribute nothing to the game other than spam new items. A worthy expansion would be something that actually contributed to the game - enhanced Sim A.I, or larger towns for example.

I'd say they ruined it by, again, turning another franchise into a cash cow - They just pump out the same old recycled crap that guarantee's them some profit, rather than innovating or trying something new. It's always very disappointing to see a game with promise go down this route, and it's a trend EA love. I hate to see game development stifled just for the sake of easy money.

Maketing ploy? Lol. You must have missed the poll that showed 70% of users bought or were buying premium. If the servers and players you liked switched to premium that's your problem for trying to be some kind of e-martyr.

The new map pack is fantastic. I understand not wanting to pay full price but if you still enjoy the game, buy it on-sale because its good and enhances the original game.

I like to spend my gaming time gaming not pretending like I'm carrying a torch for social activism.

Oh yeah, thats right, because everyone else buys it, i should immediately slap down nearly double the price for the game just to continue playing, and not object to it whatsoever.

No, thanks.

Like you, i just want to game, not have to continually spend money just to continue playing one game. That is essentially what EA are promoting here. This is becoming a very expensive arcade gaming machine.

And no, i hadn't missed the poll, but thanks for proving my point.

Also, the Close Quarters DLC doesn't interest me in the slightest. Battlefield has always been about large battlefields and vehicles for me. Just because something doesn't suit my tastes doesn't make me an e-martyr. Sorry, but you talk rubbish.
