the sad thing is that even if ea fails, it can never unruin all the studious and intellectual properties they control...

They start where the stock is at roughly 23 points, where it historically has an average of roughly 17 points give or take. So the drop from 17 to 12 isn't that huge compared to them showing us that its gone down from 23-24 to 12 which looks rather bad.
So in short. EA stock is taking a noticeable drop, but nothing massive, while coming off a time where the stock shot through the roof. If the trend continues and in 6 months time they are down below 10 points and dropping I'll say they are having some big issues. But as of now, its not nearly as bad as the article wants us to believe it is...
Something to watch? Yes.
Catastrophic for EA? Not likely.
Sensationalist journalism is sensationalist.
Edit> Though if you go back a few years even further than I did... they were up to 50 points lol... So yea, they are definitely not in the place they were in years ago, I think the article brings up a few good points, but its still rather sensationalist.

They've dropped 43.66% since the beginning of this year. How is that not massive?

Another company like Activision could purchase some of EA's IP. Then we could get Medal Call of Battlefield: Modern Tanks and Jets. wink.gif

Damn look at WoW people still fork out all that to play the game. Speaking of which Blizz's stock plummeted also because the garbage game that D3 is. Also that is not over the course of a whole year like EA.
https://www.google.com/finance?client=ob&q=NASDAQ:ATVI

Blizzard stock is down 9% since D3 launched and only down 4% for the year. Also Vivendi announced they were considering selling their full or a portion of their 61% controlling interest of Activision/Blizzard which affected the stock. EA stock is down some where in the 41% range for the year. That's a massive difference and not a good one for EA.
