Hey guys do any of you know how will this perform at that resolution?

I am upgrading to a GTX 670 soon but want to know if i can hold of a bit so i can save money. I will be getting the catleap monitor.

My current system specs:

Intel core i5 3570k OC to 4.0ghz
8gb corsair vengence DDR3 1600mhz
Gigabyte Z77 UD3H
MSI Twin Frozr II 6870

I can live without AA and playing at high setting.

Between the 670 and 7970 which will be better for games? I am getting both at the same price.

Ehh It will perform decent. Don't expect much though with that high resolution

You won't be able to do it. A 6870 at high w/o AA @ 1080p is already below 60FPS

I have a system with a 6870 and i am able to play everything on high at 2560x1440 without dips below 25 FPS. I have not tried the medium preset but i could try it tommorow if you want just bare in mind im running a Phenom X4 9650 which is bottlenecking ma 6870 quite a bit ( GPU utilization is always around 92%).

HD 7970 is definitely better than GTX 670. especially for a 2560 x 1440 monitor.
