Did you allow the port through Windows Firewall? Start button > Search Firewall and open Windows Firewall with Advanced Security > Inbound Rules. Right pane click New Rule... select Port and define the port number. TCP default usually works. Next and choose Allow the connection. Click next again, do as you need, though usually leave them all checked, and then give the rule a name.

Might not be the best idea to post your IP and a port you are about to open on the web..

EDIT: much better. thumb.gif

Try installing this patch and then trying again with the firewall http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2533552/en-US. I'm somewhat sure the firewall is the issue here, and if it is it will never work until you allow that port.

I've gone through like fifty threads. Might just have to reformat eventually. Tried setting thepermissions but no use. The problem is that i can't start the bfe service and therefore the firewall. Repairing the operating system wouldn't work either strangely

ugh this is still bothering me...The port I need to open is still closed. I don't know what to do. I've used this website to check for the port http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

As you can see... everything is right :/

I'm still sure you need to allow it through firewall some how, I forgot that there are simple firewall settings in regular control panel, open up a random explorer page and just type in Control Panel\System and Security\Windows Firewall\Customize Settings and just shut it off temporarily and then see if what you're trying to do works. If it does, the firewall was indeed your problem and then we can find a solution to that.
