New iPhone or windows phone 8?

Hello again everyone. I am busy thinking about my next phone. At the moment I'm running a iPhone 4 and I love it I really do, it's great still running fast. But then Microsoft reveled windows phone 8 and now my mind is busy. I really enjoy what there doing, better hardware support, nice interface I love the new icons, and the app store is growing. They are connecting everything, tablets, Xbox, computer everything and it looks great. The reason I'm at such a hard place is I have a lot invested in the apple mobile ecosystem. I have a iPhone and iPad and had iPods before that. I own no macs but I have over 500$ in iTunes. Now I don't use all the apps anymore, and I checked the windows phone market place and it has most of the same ones and it's growing. I can still use my iTunes music because it's now drm free. I am also an avid xbox and windows user, and the new surface tablet makes my iPad cry. I really enjoy microsofts metro look, it's modern, looks sharp. I also enjoy Microsoft over apple, I wouldnt mide to start new. The only thing that I don't enjoy is that Microsoft doesn't have an equivalent to "iTunes cards" I like the fact of just buying a card to use its simple quick and I don't enjoy putting my credit card all over the Internet. So there is my dilemma, do I make the switch this fall when both Microsoft and apple revile there new hardware, or do I stick to the gates of apple. Because right now iPhones seem more like a fashion icon then anything else. Please don't offer android I have already made my depiction and they are not included. So please leave your feed back.

The best non biased advice that I can give you, is to try them both out. Wait until WP8 is released and try one out that you're interested in, and see how much you like it, and if you can deem which one you like more. Since I'm guessing you've never used a WP before you may, since all carriers pretty much have a 30 day trade no questions asked. The only other problem I see is that you have money in IOS already, I guess it comes down to if you want to leave that Ecosystem and naturally re-buy everything once more, if you like WP8. But regardless I feel like the best idea is to try one then the other.

Edit: Now for my biased opinion, I love my WP, and will continue to buy into them, it's been a fabulous experience thus far over every other phone experience I've had thus far.

I bought the new Lumia 900 with WP 7.5 or what ever it is called. It is better than IOS imo, I really enjoy using the OS compared to IOS.

See I have heard that from multiple people. That windows OS is better then any IOS. That takes a lot. My Idevices are good, but boring can't be changed all the same. The one thing that apple has me on is there touchscreen. It's amazing being activated buy heat or what ever it is, it doesn't open in your pocket. Working at an electronics store I can say that the WP screen is very good. The lack of dockers is also a sad thing. But with rumors of apple going to a smaller connecter I think everything will be micro USB and happy. Anyways I think I will wait and see. But would love more reviews of people's windows phone experience.

As has been said I'd try them both out and then see what you prefer. I think the iPhone 5 will be great though... and the App Store is pretty huge. But if you find iOS boring then maybe the Windows 8 Phone.
