Because he is posting in the AMD forum, expressed an interest in possible AMD upgrade options, and even discussed AMD upgrade possibilities himself. So we offered him possible options for upgrading his system and remaining on an AMD platform. Also, note that both myself and at least one other person did NOT recommend he buy Bulldozer at all, but instead just update his platform to AM3+ right now, keep his current CPU, and get Piledriver later. Or..if he didn't want to wait, then get Intel.

This is the AMD forum. The reason it exists to offer advice and support on AMD products. It's not here for Intel fanboys to troll when they're taking a break from orgasming about how fast their Ivy Bridge runs benchmarks. (And I'm not saying you fall into that category, but there are too many who do.)

your problem is the 1090T isent balanced your 6770 will down grade to the 5770 so in afect you have 5770 CF on the 1090T

The Ivy Bridge that isnt really any faster than a sandy bridge for a lot more money.

I still maintain that you should get a good board and save your coins for the piledriver

@truckerGuy I was told that the only difference between the two is that 5770 is hdmi1.3 and 6770 is hdmi 1.4a but the core chip is identical, you seem to know your stuff so I am guessing I was thrown a curve ball?

Ok i just spent a while reading everything. lol. And Whats the difference between a $120 MB with 32gb ram capacity and 2 pcie slots and a $180 Mb? just curious i dont know much, im a newbie tongue.gif. if i do any OCing it will be to 4 ghz max because i dont want to ruin anything and i want to run games like Cod Mw3, and BFBC2, Crysis 2, Borderlands. I also have one question... why do i get so many lagspikes? in diablo 3 and mw2, on single player my frames go from 80-40, which LAGS HORRIBLy. its so frustrating and it feels like im 2 fps, i guess its a hiccup. If i havent mentioned already, i got a hd overclockable edition XFX 7770. do i really need to upgrade that on a single 20 something inch 1920x1080 monitor? My motherboard is GIGABYTE GA-MA78LMT-S2 AM3 760G and it beeps because of a broken sensor, which makes it underclock at "100"c. i think

No way am i keeping the current motherboard by the way.

My 1090t has never bottlenecked my sli 480s, even on bf3. And I'm not OC'ed at all

Here is a link to a review of the 7970 running BF3 with different amd and intel cpus, and the results are pretty much neck and neck. You can't argue with results.
