I7 2700k is running 2 6770 cross fire and 1090t is running a 5770 and 6770 in cross fire.i7 frame rates are higher in general but not enough to notice a difference again just what I can see in my opinion

your problem is the 1090T isent balanced your 6770 will down grade to the 5770 so in afect you have 5770 CF on the 1090T

The Ivy Bridge that isnt really any faster than a sandy bridge for a lot more money.

I still maintain that you should get a good board and save your coins for the piledriver

@truckerGuy I was told that the only difference between the two is that 5770 is hdmi1.3 and 6770 is hdmi 1.4a but the core chip is identical, you seem to know your stuff so I am guessing I was thrown a curve ball?

yes one card has 4800Mhz menory and the other 4300Mhz is a huge diffrence no its close enfo they run but when you run them you will see a heveyer load on one card

Ok i just spent a while reading everything. lol. And Whats the difference between a $120 MB with 32gb ram capacity and 2 pcie slots and a $180 Mb? just curious i dont know much, im a newbie

. if i do any OCing it will be to 4 ghz max because i dont want to ruin anything and i want to run games like Cod Mw3, and BFBC2, Crysis 2, Borderlands. I also have one question... why do i get so many lagspikes? in diablo 3 and mw2, on single player my frames go from 80-40, which LAGS HORRIBLy. its so frustrating and it feels like im 2 fps, i guess its a hiccup. If i havent mentioned already, i got a hd overclockable edition XFX 7770. do i really need to upgrade that on a single 20 something inch 1920x1080 monitor? My motherboard is GIGABYTE GA-MA78LMT-S2 AM3 760G and it beeps because of a broken sensor, which makes it underclock at "100"c. i think

No way am i keeping the current motherboard by the way.

Here is a link to a review of the 7970 running BF3 with different amd and intel cpus, and the results are pretty much neck and neck. You can't argue with results.
