You guys think this card is good to go with the APU CPU?

XFX - AMD Radeon HD 6670 2GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 Graphics Card

No IIRC 1gb of DDR5 > 2gb of DDR3

So grab a card that has DDR5. This is the one I got coming.

MSI 6670

Ic, what is IIRC? and is there a huge difference between 1GB DDR5 and 2GB DDR3? I am thinking that DDR5 will run more data calculation than DDR3 correct?
IIRC means "If I recall Correctly."

DDR means double data rate. So going from 3 to 5 is yes gonna be faster. The memory "vram" is definitely a big part of performance but is trumped by newer DDR. Thats why 2 GB of DDR3 is not as good as 1GB of DDR5.

Before you make your purchase I would wait till I can throw up some benchmarks for you with the 6670. For now though if you want I can run some benches just on my APU alone.

GDDR5 on the 6670 can give you up to 10 more fps depending on the game and resolution in dual graphics configuration (that is if you use the 6670 as your primary card so it would use the dGPU memory and not the system memory) so I'd say it's a big diffrence wink.gif

Sure thing, if anything I can order my APU with the mobo and ram first. I am seeing good reviews online for what it has to offer for the price. I was wondering is there a huge difference between the 3850 and th 3870?
the only differency factor is the 3870K is a unlocked proccessor similiar to the Black Editions while the 3850 is not. if overclocking isn't your thing the 3850 will be a good APU but if Overclocking is going to be your future endevour sooner or later then the 3870k will be your best they both carry the same 6550D. so ethier one will work for you but you may want to consider long run performance which the 3870K will provide that long run performance
