Well it better be worth it. I cant see myself playing through only to be disappointed again. I was planning to play from ME 1 to ME 3 once I completed ME 3... the ending just took away all the enthusiasm to do so.

The Extended cut is completely free. You download it, load up a save and its free.

For those that care, its going to release on PC around 11 AM MST pr at the least before 12 noon (they used mst for who knows what reason). You only need 3100 ems to have access to the "best ending". You need to start before you assault the cerberus base (a save gets created at that spot after the original ending is completed). There is more content before the beam and I assume they tell you to start at the cerberus base because they don't want any issues with game saves as well as having that additional content that is different depending on choices made.

I'm really sick of those that complaining about people complaining, go circle jerk in another thread (ironically causing me to circle jerk about them).

Also people asking why others are saying why is it so big? Well 1.9GB is kinda big for a game that is 10 GB, thats around 1/5 of the total game size. That's pretty big.

I'm getting quite annoyed with this game. I'm playing multiplayer for the first time so I can get the best ending... except that I'm "waiting on 1 other" instead of playing. As I have been for about 20 minutes. My ending is being held hostage by multiplayer. What a brilliant system.

How do you use the save editor for that? I found a guide to changing EMS values using the coalesced editor, but not save editor. Coalesced doesn't update the war assets that you already own.

Pretty simple really.
First create a save from your current career. This save you will edit with Gibbed save editor. Note down the save game number.
Now open that save game from GSE. Go to RAW tab. Under 'Squad', there'll be a line called 'Player'. Click it.
There will be a new screen on the right side. Scroll down the list and select 'GAW Assets'. Click the corresponding '..." button.
On the left side of the new menu, there is a number... '173'. Click it.
On the RHS menu, now it'll show ID and Strength, both containing numbers. Just add couple of 0's at the last of the Strength number (eg. Prev 108, Edited 108000).
Now click OK and the 'Save'. Select the save file which you were editing as the modified data will be saved in that file. Load that save file in-game and you're done!

173 corresponds to the Aliiance 5th fleet war asset.

I just watched the endings. They didn't use the indoctrination theory; they just went with their stupid original parodox:
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-s1AsUICbAIU/T2y8txLYyiI/AAAAAAAABOk/Vpew44_zXBQ/s1600/f95.jpg
And the writing got even worse; by choosing the synergy ending, the reapers make organics immortal with the knowledge from past civilizations, WHICH REDUCES THE CHANCE OF A ROBOT UPRISING HOW!?

I hate you Bioware and EA.

I'm going to pretend that the ending that was originally planned happened. The ending they shoved in there feels just like the ending to Lost.

It's like failing a kid who could actually succeed if he was pushed to save him from being let down farther in life. If he knew what he was capable of then he could become better than he ever thought possible. Assuming that mistakes made in the past will always happen in the future is foolish, and life itself is about making mistakes and learning from them. Sometimes we may forget, but being reminded of how we got here is being human.

I just watched all the new takes on the endings and it's much better, but they still seem half baked I still think red skittles are my favorite.

Agreed. I just watched them as well (still waiting, not a $60 game due to game play changes from ME1). The endings make a LOT more sense. There's still a little bit of scene-skipping that makes zero sense: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
There's no explanation of how they ended up on that planet, but then they leave it somehow as well

The new ending is also pretty cool, but it also places some random stuff into question.

Over all, its a LOT better. IF it weren't for me hating the game play changes from ME1 to ME3, I would be picking it up now.

also: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
They left that 2-second 'breath' clip in.... are you going to explain that Bioware? Yes? No?
