That's absurd. This is just a rumor but that sounds about right.

I kept on saying the the Surface threads that the newer less expensive Ultrabooks would cost less. wink.gif

They had a chance to take the market. With those prices nobody is going to bend for some Windows Tab lacking Apps. Intel version if $1000 is just pointless considering a Ultrabook is probably much more productive. I have the new iPad and i alredy think it heavy. Bot the RT and PRO are supper heavy which means they will not be used in Tab form for too long. Apple might suck as a company but when they want to eat the marked they do by aggressive pricing. They can make a $1000 iPad 16Gb too but not many will buy. $500 personally is the borderline for Tabs and maybe $700 for the Intel one.

Anybody who thought it would come in under $999 is on something. Microsoft would have to be complete fools to undercut the entire "Ultrabook" market by pricing it any lower.

I wonder if the prices include the keyboard cover and which one?

They should ship without it and charge extra for it...
