PSU advice for C2D rig - Page 3

I really don't have the money for that kind of power. I am barely getting away with this one.

I just saw something... the PSU i chose http://www.enermax.com.tw/english/pr...ay1.asp?PrID=7
only has a fan on top... does that means my case has to have an opening on top ?

No it doesnt mean you need an opening at the top however sufficient space would help cooling . However the PSU you have chosen i give the green light. That will serve you well.

Great! I am still concerned however, as it can get quite hot here.
Would this PSU Enermax Noisetaker II 485W (the same one but 420W)be able to stay cooler ?

I would buy the first one, however I don't think i can find a case that will allow sufficient space or an opening on the top for efficient cooling
