yea i just checked my verson last night 1.01. are the version 2 available>? Ill check newegg. It would would be worth a exchange to me as i havent installed the board yet. I have to tell you, every single item i got went on sale a day or two later. I stuck to my guns with the seasonic 750x that was hard but i know its great electronics. Especially when i could have picked up a pc power and cooling for 39.99. I would have picked one up anyway but im wayyyy over my usual costs.
The fx-8120 15.00 promo code the day i recieved mine. Most if my items were sale units anyway. I did refuse my first video card ( i already had 2 gtx 550ti different brrands, and a asus 6770. two were already earmarked for different machines. So i ordered a 6850 that had a promo code. right before it was to be delivered, there was a deal on a gtx-560 for 139.99 after rebate and promo code.. but rebates took forever.. 169.99 berfore rebate. Then the day it was to be delivered, the 6950 was listed yesterday? for 199.99 after rebate and promo code. I called newegg and talked to them because i never refuse packages, or return because thats just not my style but this was too good to pass up. Especially after i read all the threads on OCN and toms hardware about sli setups micro studder and the wattage chart for sli.. that was a real eye opener. One card for that reason and It would be easy to do the gpu hack that brought me here in the first place.
Well Im off to see if rev 2 boards are really out. Thery werent due out soon when i ordered my sabertooth 990 fx. (according to the experts) :>

Has anyone seen the rev. 2.0 board are is it not out yet. I checked around the web and at asus newegg etc. I didnt see anything.

btw I got a responce from mushkin. I emailed them early this am and they already responded!

Yes this kit will work with your mobo/CPU

Your CPU has memory multipliers up to DDR3-1866, anything above that will require overclocking.

For DDR3-1866 I would suggest 8-10-9-27 1.65V

thanks jagged _steel yup i got my first one when prices went below 1.00 a gig. I picked up a second 90 when they dropped again for my brothers machine. Im selling/giving him some parts and i needed to replace the 120gig. Now to send in the darn rebates.. .i hate them. Im not much of a gamer but in jan i bought a bunch of games previous versions that just came out. It was some big sale and i got a bunch of last years games to see if i was interested. I think it spent about 80.00 for about 10 popular computer games. some were dupes for gifts and donations.

Today i intalled the chip on the motherboard and test fitted it then started asembling the themaltake water 2.0 extreme. I wanted to test fit it with my haf 22 to see if i could mount the radiator outside the box on the top. I want the heat out of my case. Because its a closed loop system and im not brave enough to be the first ome to take it apart yet Im going to install it in the case.
i tested it with my 200mm fan on top on the outside with the rad on the inside top of the case and 2 fans on the rad underneath pushing. There is not enough room as the fans touch the heatsinks on the motherboard and the fans rest up against the memory latches closed all the way. Not acceptable.
Next ill try to use my 200mm fan in its stock location under the rad. and put 2 included fans on the top outside.Ill temp mount the 200mm fan with zip ties if it fits and then get long screws to mount it tomorrow..
Putting any fans on the outside will require me cutting a small hole in the top for the power connector to fit thru the case to access the power connector. Id like to cut a big enough hole to put the heat sink thru the top of the case and mount externally but for now Ill wait before i butcher the new case.
