Anything new and better out there? Looking to spend 5-$10 shipped from Amazon. This will be a $5 filler item for something else I'm ordering.

Looking at IC7
Arctic Cooling MX-2

Suggestions?

Not really anything new/better for '12. Any of the top 25+ TIMs will produce the same temp +/- 1-2C. Pick the one that makes you happy. Your CPU will never know the difference. wink.gif

I myself use Arctic Silver 5, never really tried anything else but the temps iv'e seen on my hardware generally match what others get on similar hardware so I can't imagine there would be much difference between most. Though AC 5 can get a bit messy.

IC Diamond is probably still the best. You can't really beat diamond's heat transfer (even if it's artificial diamond).

Just because the theoretical transfer heat is higher doesn't mean in practicality it's better. Ended up getting the PK-1. Thank you all!

Cannot go wrong with PK-1. It does well even when there is light contact pressure.
