I currently have a media center PC that works just fine, but it looks very sad. So my plan is to make it into something nice looking that I don't have to hide
I could just buy a case and get it over with, but I've decided I want to have a go at making a nice case.
This is the plan so far:

I will re-use as many parts from my old media center PC as possible, it's no power house, but it works fine. It's powered by an AMD Athlon x64 x2 6000+
While I do have an extra GPU card, I think I will just use the integrated GPU. It does video without any problems in 1080 and got an HDMI out.
And it will of course feature one of my little display controllers on the front

Plan is to make the case primarily out of acrylic (painted, not transparent), the bottom plate will probably be aluminium though.
