Very likely, if I leave anything out, it will be missing the next morning, usually under the sofa

Yeah, they are nice, gf got 3 of them 2 white and 1 black, but while they are soft and fluffy you have to live with cat hairs everywhere.
Anyway, to get back on topic
(though, as long as something is funny, cute or interesting it's never off topic )I did some glue testing to see if it's possible to glue the pvc pipe together with acrylic.
First I tried the cement used for gluing pipes and fittings, actually it melts them together to pretty much form a solid piece, that didn't work with the acrylic though.
I then tried some Cyanoacrylate glue (instant glue) and it worked really well, it's not easy to work with but the bond is very strong:
So at least I know this method is possible. (it will need filler and sanding, but I'll paint it anyway)
I am however still tempted to go out and buy a heat gun and have a go at bending it.

I didn't look into it too much, just kind of tested the glues I had lying around
... well, I do have some 2 component as well, it's just so hard to work with. Anyway I'm happy with the strength of the instant glue stuff, works for this. I think you can also use an acetone solution if it's acrylic together with acrylic, just melting the pieces together.Anyway, first I want to mod the DVD a bit, I don't want to use the existing front and end plate:
I will make something like this, and then it will fit in a hole in the front:
Also I am considering if I should reuse the eject button:

)
