I did not play Diablo 1 and 2. However, I love Diablo 3 it is a lot of fun.

I HATED Deus Ex Human Revolution, it was so boring to me.

Unreal Tournament 3: I was a huge UT2004 fan, and it was such a disappointment to get less maps, a worse soundtrack, the removal of some of my favorite game modes, and muddy gears of war graphics.

Battlefield 3: It doesn't play like a Battlefield game, at all. It just saddens me that the technology behind it is so amazing, and right at the end the game was maimed with close flags, consolized map design (64-player doesn't feel right), and horrible EA inspired features like Battlelog and removal of modding (who cares if the tools are complex, we'll still use them that's no excuse!) and no team chat (!).

Red Orchestra 2: To be honest, I feel like the Unreal 3 engine let this game down. I've never liked the feel or look of UE3, and RO2 really suffers from it. The sound engine they use is also absolutely horrible, you can't hear footsteps or use sound positioning to properly formulate strategy like I remember doing in the first game.

RAGE: Carmack made an inferior engine? Yes, yes he did. Static lighting, really? I recently played Doom3 with mods and it looked mind-blowing compared to RAGE.

COD2+: Lacked the wide open spaces and freedom of the first game + expansion. The first game was magical for me, and everything after bores me.

Mafia 2: So so close to being a masterpiece, you can just feel it, yet it was obviously chopped up and cut short right at the end.

CS:GO: It just isn't doing it for me... the guns feel like L4D to me.

Gothic 3: I expected the sequel to one of the best RPGs of all time to be great, not buggy and blatantly incomplete.

Trackmania 2: I don't like the new DLC direction of the series, and it lacks the "fun" feel that I have loved since TM1 came out years ago (the original desert environment, the one where you easily tip on 2 wheels, is still my favorite environment.)

That's cause those games are tediously boring.

Not really.

You have action FPS for those who don't want to think and just want an adrenaline rush with a story behind it.

And you have RPG's for those of us who like to be the story.

Hate is a strong word but there are many games that I was disappointed with; mainly because video cards moved 6 gens forward yet graphics are still stuck at 2006-7 thanks to the console developers. I love the modding community tho; if it wasn't for them most games like GTA IV or Skyrim would still look like **** even on ultra settings. There are exceptions such as Max payne and BF3 that turn out "good lookin' ". Can't wait for the new consoles to arrive, not that I'd buy one but rather because they'd finally stop holding computer graphics back.

Just to add a few from the newer releases, Kingdoms of Amalur, Risen 2, Dirt Showdown, Darkness II etc..

Flash lights are nuclear powered, so you can see even in bright daylight. Same with lasers, The maps for the most part are very poorly designed, especially metro...can't remember one game where one side wasn't getting bum rapped. Vehicle unlocks, that pretty much drove me over the edge and I decided to stop playing.

lol about tha flashlights, although maybe the tactical flashlights (like the one from surefire) and lasers (like the super powerful ones that can blind airplanes pilots) would actually produce that effect? I dunno because ive never had them shined on my face

but thats true about metro, the side that starts on the subway platform would have their butt kicked because the people above would lobb grenades and RPGs down from above the stairs. the only way ive seen that subway platform team hold is if the entire team rushes up the stairs and holds their position instead of having like half the team trying to get points capturing the first flag and leaving the people who rush up on their own

Only game I really remember hating was Area 51, mainly because I hate when games have you being ordered to go to places that make no sense by someone you don't even know or care about. Crysis 2 and Halo had a bit of this but not to the point that I hated the whole game because of it.

I found Red Faction: Guerilla to be exceptionally dull, and I never was able to get in to the retro atmosphere of Bioshock, but I don't have any reason to hate those games.

Other than that I've pretty much enjoyed every game that I've purchased to at least some extent.
