CGAX-7977C and the CGAX-7977 ... What's the difference?

Ok so i've been on the verge of buying 2 HD7970's to replace my crossfired 6970 lightning and I'm thinking about picking up 2 reference 7970's.
Now the problem I'm having is deciding what brand, spent hours looking up reviews and I finally decided on the club3d CGAX-7977C... thing is this particular card has a the exact same specs as the CGAX-7977 which is obviously also club3d but more expensive by 30 euros. The CGAX-7977C is marked as the dirt 3 edition on some websites which boggles me even more as to why its the cheaper of the two.

CGAX-7977C 400 Euros. http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/products/reader.en/product/radeon-hd-7970.1114.html
CGAX-7977 430 Euros. http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/products/reader.en/product/radeon-hd-7970.html

Same EXACT specs.

Any help/info is much appreciated, perhaps even some advice on what 7970's to go for.

Sorry for my poor english.

Your sig rig mentions a 1080p monitor. Why would you want 2 HD 7970s to run a 1080p monitor. A HD 7970 overclocked to 1200+ Mhz is more than enough for that. Anything more is a waste. You could go for a custom HD 7970 OC like Sapphire HD 7970 OC Dual X or Gigabyte HD 7970 OC Windforce. Both of these have very good coolers.

I have a XFX HD 6950 2GB running a 1080p monitor and I enjoy all the latest games maxed out. Only BF3 I played with Ultra 2x MSAA and it ran very well. A HD 7970 will give you slightly lesser raw fps than HD 6970 CF but a much more consistent performance without any multi GPU issues like micro stuttering or CF profile availability. It will do so with lesser power, heat and noise.

I'm planning to run 3 27Inch monitors in eyefinity, I've got 2 so far. Third is inbound next month due to it currently being out of stock. I've also been looking through reviews of both cards you mentioned and it seems alot of the sapphire users are experiencing horrible coil whine and the gigabyte is built filmsy according to most.

The coil whine is not a Sapphire specific problem. Other cards too have it. some users have no coil whine. some users have managed to reduce by running vysnc enabled and capping fps to 60 . yet few others have had to RMA because of loud whine.

http://www.overclock.net/t/1223922/7970-does-yours-have-coil-whine

I suggest you wait for the Radeon HD 7970 Ghz edition cards. Should be available starting next week. Most of them are going to be custom designs according to AMD. Partners are going to come out with some interesting designs.

I noticed the voucher, but why does it come with the cheaper card of the two? Also, I see you're running 7970 CFX. Are these reference? If so, what temps do u get stressed.
