Cannot open terminal

Hello

When trying to open terminal, I get a message:

You can't open the application Terminal because it may be damaged or incomplete.
Its file size is 0 bytes

Is there a way to extract terminal from the installation cd?

I would have thought you could just get the file form the installation disc applications folder.
This folder might be hidden by default.

If that doesn't work, maybe you could get a terminal replacement program and try to reinstall terminal via that.

Yeah I download the cd, but it looks like the applications are packed together somewhere :/

I copied terminal from my brothers mac, but it won't allow me to replace existing terminal. Maybe I can do it via single user mode..

But renaming it as terminal1.app does work, would that affect its commands?

I wouldn't think that it affects the commands.
If you have the CD check out pacifist, this might help you find the application on the cd.

If that doesn't work download one of the other terminal programs for mac - that should also work.

I managed to replace it as root user thumb.gif

It was disabled by my school admin for some reason tongue.gif
