Ouch! Guess you don't get "extras" like power and DVI-to-VGA adapters with the lower end cards. Probably varies by manufacturer as well. Sapphire is known for always throwing in the kitchen sink. I'm sure there's a local shop where you can pick one up for a couple nickels before they arrive though. Most mom and pop places would probably have a big stack of them laying around (and would likely just give them to you).

Well my 4850HD was a Sapphire, so perhaps I'll find a connector in there? I'll check first thing tomorrow I guess.

No PCI-E cable OR Crossfire Bridge at my motherboard box. I'm really at a loss as to what to do. Anyone know of locations in Toronto that have these in stock? Tiger Direct doesn't, and I kind of don't want to pay for shipping on Newegg.ca (but I probably will end up doing so).

EDIT: Apparently Tech Support at TigerDirect says Crossfire Bridges are specific to motherboards and I can't just buy any old one? Validity of this claim?

EDIT2: Friend gave me both the things I needed now I am effectively running crossfire.

Though if I launch Skyrim, my computer immediately crashes or stutters badly. frown.gif

Did you use ATIMan to uninstall the old drivers? I actually re-installed my OS when I went from one 7870 to two 7850s.

So I finally got my crossfire to work, but I get a 3DMark11 score of 5629. I score 200 or 300 off the average for Graphics, and way, way, below for physics and combined. I assume physics is due to my 2.8GHz Q9550?

EDIT: Yet again, the Crossfire ceases to work after a single reboot. I don't get it; I never installed any application and it was completely fine doing 3DMark11. What could possibly be the issue? I don't think it is hardware considering what it went through (hit 65C and 95~99% load).
