Hi everyone,
Has anyone opened AM to check if I can change that weird lens. I like the buttons but I might change them to omrons if I get annoyed.
I just have a question that if I can use DA or Diamondback lens.
Thanks.

Yes, you can use the DA lense for sure (cant say that about the diamondback lense) - Salmosa, Abyssus, krait, DA, cm spawn use the same lense. Im using the salmosa lense and led in my AM. gl

Could you please post some details?
Did you have to customize the Salmosa lense? Cut the edges or something like that? Someone at esreality did something similiar and he told me that there is no fitting lense.

Did it "improve" the lod? I can't stand that kind of low lod, feels like neg. accel to me (I know that some people here love that kind of low lod, but i'm so used to a higher lod wink.gif )
Tracking?

From left to right: DA lense, kinzu lense, AM original lense. Step one and two are just raw cutting. Step three (remove the green marked area) aim: AMs height.

Edit: dont use the kinzu lense, the shape needs minimal work to fit but the lense does not cooperate with the 3090.
Forgot something, if you intend to use the AM body, just to close up everything perfectly.

First i wanna thank you!

I don't have a kinzu wink.gif, but what i got are those mice which i'm willing to sacrifice:
Mx518, Abyssus, Deathadder (the first batch) or Zowie Ec2

So let me get this right:

Take a deathadder lens
remove the green area (first picture and the left lens)
remove some of the bottom shell of the zowie am
fit the lens in the new "hole"
et voila? biggrin.gif

Its a pleasure to me! I do not see it as a sacrifice, something more of a new birth. Yes, that should be it. The green area (ideal = your da-lense and the am having the same height when next to each other) <- mainly i was doing all by feel (change, build in and try, change, build in...). To remove some of the bottom shell of the zowie AM should be the last thing for you to do (if necessary at all- you will see).

Btw what tools do you use to cut out the plastic from the lenses. Just asking since last time I did a mod I ended up having to go to the doctor to get my finger stitched tongue.gif
