can't you get a friend to buy it for you and send it over/bring it over to you?

I've used both the SGS III and the One X and the SGS III is much much smoother and faster. With faster Internet upload/download speeds, faster browser and better video recording, the SGS III is the winner.

Rogers doesn't have much in the way of selection. Their GS2 model sucks. Its the 4.5" with the old dual core Snapdragon. There's also the Razr, which held the title of worst display on non-budget smartphone ever until the One S came along (which is extremely disappointing since the One X has undeniably the best screen ever to grace a handheld device)

The Galaxy Nexus is a nice enough phone, but it lacks an SD card slot, and without that you might as well get the One X.

The Galaxy Note is probably the best phone available on Rogers, although coming from an iPhone it will probably seem even more comically large than it already is.

Also don't expect a Galaxy S III anytime soon. Chances are Bell has paid for exclusivity like they did with the GS II, so Rogers and Telus likely won't get their models for many months.

might as well just buy it from newegg or ncix after factoring in shipping and possible duty.

there all set for the 27th, we already have them at my store sitting in the back for launch day lol (telus, bell).
the one X is defiantly nice but its still expensive everywhere in canada right now, so if the op is willing to buy it, its worth getting.

I have that phone on att, the Skyrocket? It is actually a really good phone. Software is really stable, the display is great and its pretty fast. The only samsung phone better is the S3. The only thing that sucks is battery life it lasts about 17 hours with light use. You have to charge it everyday no doubt.

I love my Galaxy Nexus. It's has its flaws but what phone doesn't. It has the an unmatched update and rom community that is 2nd to none. That is huge for me.

12. Root (superuser) think of this like an Admin user on a PC.

Thread Starter
One X probably won't happen for the largest reason being, "built in" battery. It disgusts me to see an Android with that as ONLY Apple can sneak away with this part of why im looking at Android IS cause of the removable battery (& option of 2000mAh+ battery with minimum bloat size) oh & 4.1 Jelly Bean now... that was a bit irritating as 6 days ago I jumped on a new Galaxy Nexus for $350 (at the time most are $390+ here) & only had a day at most to decide, revert back to iPhone & sell Nexus or press on & sell iPhone. After issues transferring texts from iOS -> Android & suddenly missing my iPhone, at 5am I turned my iPhone back on & restored from backed & resold the Nexus for the same price I got it for the next day.. couldn't decide much longer as one of them had to sell as rent/food money was used to get it. Literially on the bus to take it to the buyer, a Twitter text comes in from the blue announcing Jelly Bean & it's "project butter" & enhanced notifications... FFF.........

I might sell my sig laptop which will cover me buying a Nexus again along with a buff battery without having to sell either phone in a rush(or ever), I don't use it that much but I still like it.. I don't know. Speaking about batteries.. is it a MUST to stick to the $40+ batteries that are 2500mAh+ to retain quality(Mugen is like 4000mAh but almost $100!!)? Theres some 3800mAh ones on eBay for $15..? But are those like those cheap knock off memory sticks/batteries for PSP? That die randomly at "40% charge left" & all or actually provide half the mAh it says..? I do remember when I had the Nexus my signal bars were LOW.. like 0 or maybe 2 bars at most.. though data was fair for my basement location @ about 2Mbps via speedtest.. but my iPhone 4S beside it got 3-4 bars & about 2.5Mbps but the Nexus was running 4.0.1 & I read rumors that 4.0.4(second build) fixes that, maybe? The tiny GSM bars were jumping from "H" to "3G" to even "E" sometimes & even I had my micro SIM placed in, it was firmly in place with proper contact on the pins.

I have pretty much dropped SGS2 LTE from consideration despite the lovely SD slot, LTE & home button.. The Nexus has the updates slightly better hardware overall, THE SCREEN OF GLORY.. SGS3 well only if I magically find a good deal for one like <$550 or something assuming I choose to sell the laptop as I refuse to renew my contract this time.
