It was on sale at the very beginning, I missed it too. Luckily one of the mods pointed me toward a similar sale on amazon, i got a copy for $7

mostly because Im still dreaming about paying the game off with item drops though.....
if that motivation is gone, I'm pretty sure I'll be gone for good. In fact if there has never been that real money bullcrap, I would have stopped playing 3 weeks ago.

Is there a reason we can't mention this game by name on this thread? headscratch.gif I haven't played in 2-3 weeks, logging in and gold grinding just got too tedious when 80% of my earnings was going for repairs. I wan't going to, but torchlight was so cheap I had to pick it up. It will probably replace said unmentionable game

Yeah, what game are you guys on about?
I'm pretty sure only YS : the oath of Falxxxxx and sim city will interest me at this point.

I don't play FPS games. That is a huge game filter

I was trying to talk about the game without saying its name, but apparently everyone knows what game I was talking about. Just taking advantage of (or proving) the fact that the game is so well known for its big name, and also its problems (note what I was replying to when I first said that)

Torchlight might or might not be able to replace that game, depending on which aspects in an ARPG do you value the most. Torchlight is more cartoony, skill system is less complex and the dungeon maps are semi-repetitive.

On the good side however, torchlight has MUCH, MUCH MORE EXCITING drops throughout the entire game (wheras item drops constantly being a 5lv lag behind your level in that stupid game until you reach the last difficulty, not to mention getting the right stats on the right gear). It also has a very addictive item enhancing feature (also in a game called Hellgate : london).

2 games, both evolve around items. Torchlight took a lot less time and budget to develop and yet it came out to be quite fun, and definitely is worth its price tag.

wonder what's been keeping the other game to be as interesting rolleyes.gif

to be fair, torchlight is the inferior game in comparison, but not by much, to be honest.
