Can't you gift it to yourself? And yes I did buy a 4-pack for Dead Island that's why I said I could sell the other 2 keys if the people I wanted
to get into playing don't want to. Last Winter sale I bought Batman as gift just in case I don't play it at all I can either sell it or gift it to a friend.
I'm hoping I can gift it myself though.

As for how gifts work... you go to the gift game manager or something like that and then you have all the games you bought as gift. You choose
to either send it to a steam user ID/name or to an E-mail address. From there they just open the gift while having steam open and the game activates
or registers to your steam account.

Depends what kind of spacesim you like. The X universe games have a high learning curve and are demanding of your time to get something out of them but that might be just what you want in that type of game. For 10 bucks for the whole pack it won't cost you much to take the plunge.

I spent around a 100 bucks this summer sale and picked up over 30 games if not more plus a few I traded and I got SS3 gifted so that was sweet.

I did have 2 gift cards for $70 though that I was looking to burn through

It is considered classical game as I understand. I have them but have not had time to really dig into them as they have a bit of a learning curve. If you love sandboxes in space then I think X series is pretty solid option. It's inspired by Elite and Elite 2 classics I think (like very many other space flight sims with trading n stuff)
