I will probably be picking up Sins in the next few days regardless. I would have had it already but I've heard they are working on some rather large balance issues between the races.

If you loved the first two, which I did as well, you will like the third! BELIEVE ME! I cannot say this enough, the game is amazing! Rockstar left the noire essence of the max payne series in there while adding new, unique dynamic gunplay. When playing the game for the first time, you will love the shooting mechanics without a doubt because of this new dynamic system. The jump-dives "feel real", especially when you see him jump-diving to the side where there is a barrier next to him and he crashes and collides with it. He then continues shooting while against the wall until you move him around past that point. Its a great game!

The multiplayer I can see why it looks like a spray and pray game, because IMO in the beginning ranks of multiplayer, it kind of is. However, once you hit a certain rank (I think it 5 or 6), you unlock turf war, which is a set of objective based missions and it turns way away from spray and pray. Not too mention in the multiplayer, bullet time is only in a specific area depending on which person activates it. It is also limited as well. On top of bullet time in ALL multiplayer modes, there is also a perk or skill that you can use once you get enough kills. The skill is tiered with levels, so if you save up, you can use the more powerful level 3 version of the perk.

Yeah, wouldn't spend big money on the game, but for $10 I thought it was very good. I also think the environment design on that game is gorgeous.

Not entirely, but it is a focal point. If a game has multiplayer game play I put more weight on that since only you complete the single player aspect a few times it will be the multiplayer that keeps people playing it. A game is better to have no multiplayer than to have bad multiplayer because it will just give people a reason not to like it. If it doesn't have it then it isn't considered when forming an opinion. I don't hate my car for not being able to fly, but it could fly and handled poorly in the air I would dislike it.
