A GTX 580 will run BF3@Ultra quite nicely, but the 670 is 10-15% faster most of the time (and is only $100 more than a 580).

If you had a 580 currently, i'd say don't upgrade, but don't buy a new 580 now!

you are kidding right? GTX670 is about 30% faster than GTX580.
