Ok. So yes, I'm decided to go upgrade to just a single card solution right now. I'm just torn between waiting for the 660 or going with 670 right now? Are there no problems with the 670 that aren't sorted out yet? Need some inputs again guys, sorry frown.gif

There were some driver issues I heard at first with the 6 series and v-sync but I believe this has been alleviated.

And on side note I am personally waiting for the 660's to come out so I can run two in SLI.

Any particular reason why?
The reason I bought two 460's at the time is that they preformed better compared to a single 480 at the time. In some cases as much as 30% better. Now when the 580 came out I wished I had waited since that one card was equal to my 460's but the route I took saved me about $50. Now that the 600 series is out I am hoping two 660's would give me a similar benefit. I will have to wait and see benchmarks first and I hope the 660 has 2gb of VRAM since 1GB is getting a little small these days. To me it comes down to value if I can save some money and still get good performance then I am happy. I am stuck in the same boat as you since I am about to sell my laptop when i get back and I have a shopping cart on amazon already with a msi 670 and a crucial ssd ready to go at a moments notice if the 660 is not up to par in sli.

Oh ok. So it would be better to just wait for the 660 first? And then 660 SLI would most probably be better than a single 680 or 690?
Being better than a 690 is not likely by a long shot. A single 680 is very possible. A 680 has the potential to be better at super high resolutions and multiple monitor setups. Most games are not limited by VRAM and such at 1920X1080. Mind you I said most but I see it being very likely that the 660 will offer a 2 GB option from the get go. This is all speculation though. There is rumor it will be released June 25th so only waiting three weeks is worth the possible price decrease and potential performance increase in my opinion.

You failed.

GTX 460 SLI will certainly get better benchmarks than a GTX 480 or 570, but it will most certainly not give a better gameplay experience. I should know, I bought two of them thinking SLI problems didn't exist.

SLI certainty is hit and miss. My 460s were flawless and SLI and I didn't have a single problem. The only reason I upgraded was that the 1gb vram was holding them back.
