I'm considering switching from a GTX 285 to a FirePro V4900 for my next build, and I must ask if this is a good idea. I'm considering the card because, aside from the fact that the only games I ever play are in SNES9x, it seems like a good card for what I do with my system as you can see below.
The main applications I use are:
Overkill? Not enough? Inappropriate (I doubt it)? Also, any thoughts on the state of AMD's drivers for their professional cards?
Cheers.
The main applications I use are:
- PreSonus StudioOne 2 (x64) (DAW)
- Native Instruments Komplete 7 (x64) (VSTs)
- Sony Sound Forge Pro 10 (x86) (audio editing)
- Adobe Photoshop CS5 (x64) (image editing, LOTS of layers)
- Adobe Illustrator CS5 (x86) (doodling, vector editing)
- Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 (x86) (website dev)
- Code::Blocks (x86) (creating VB GUIs to track criminals)
- NetBeans (x86) (creating additional RAM so I can hack the Gibson)
- AutoCAD 2010 (x64) (left over from school, but I also use it for hobby stuff)
