GTX 670 or 7950?

I am looking to upgrade my graphics card. Is the price of the GTX 670 worth it versus the 7950? I currently game at 1920x1080. One thing to note, my case limits the card size to about 10.5 inches

You cant go wrong with either tbh, But if you decide on the 7950 go for the overclocked version like the sapphire 7950 oc

GTX670 would have the upper hand until you get some serious OCs out of the HD 7950. Basically if you OC HD 7950 ~ 1.1Ghz+ the different will be next to none.

The 670 is closer to the 7970 in terms of gpu ranks, I would go with the 670. Especially when they are OC'd.

I've seen other posters mention that, but it seems that the sapphire 950 OC 7950 is 10.8 inches frown.gif and I don't have the time (or equipment) to cut my case right now

I asked this in the 7970 vs 670 thread, but no one really answered, so I'll ask it again. What about in Linux? I'm debating between those same two cards, but I run Linux exclusively. I know the benches then to point in the direction of the 670 in Windows, but what about Linux?

670. From what I've seen so far, it's the superior card. Nice and short too. tongue.gif

Would it really be worth it to wait for the 700 series, or should a 670 be good for the foreseeable future (2+ years)?

Meh, it's graphics cards, there is no waiting. They always come out with new things.

This. Gpu makers would never come out with something so earth shattering as to justify a wait. To do so would only cost them money. It's pretty simple if you think about it. Some generations progress a bit further than others and I'm not saying buy the old stuff 3 weeks before the new stuff drops, but the waiting game is silly imo.
