Keep them in the kitchen...I used to keep a minifridge and a microwave near by, but wayyy too many pizza rolls disappeared so after a week or so I got rid of them since I saw the problem before it got bad.

You seriously don't want the stuff that accessible. Especially if you are playing a MMO where you have down time waiting for group mates and such...or gate camping in Eve Online.

Depends on the wife...I am more anal about eating away from table than my wife is. Though a lot of peoples' attitudes might change on this if you just dropped $7000 for new carpet. The place for storing the food shouldn't really matter for any rule. I don't think it is uncommon to have a separate freezer. The only thing I can see my wife saying is that she doesn't want a mini-fridge in the house.

In the fridge. Ants in Puerto Rico are ruthless...they keep chewing through all of my jolly rancher's wrappers.

I usually keep things on a "writing board" that rolls out of the desk on my right hand side. A few binder clips are clipped to it to make a headset hanger, but otherwise there's plenty of space for a bag of chips or a drink. It's too far for me to hit with my elbow, but close enough to grab comfortably.

You could buy a nice 16 pack of classic glass coke bottles and use the box with the cardboard dividers to sort out your snackies when you're done with the sodas.
