you could ask him for his feedback on the card. I strongly recommend this card even if it was priced similar to GTX 670. as its cheaper its a no-brainer. thumb.gif

thanks for the useful links and info. so as i understand if i were to put a waterblock i need a 7970 block?

I have a XFX HD 6950 2GB and I absolutely enjoy smooth game performance on all the latest titles. Other than BF3 which i ran at Ultra 2X MSAA at 1080p I have maxed out every game. Metro 2033 (without DOF) COD MW3, Rage, Deus Ex, Skyrim, Alan Wake, Batman AC (DX 9 Version).I am currently playing Max Payne 3 maxed out at 1080p with FXAA. so don't spread any false information. mad.gif

Seriously, when i look at the poll it looks like most voters did not look at the price of the option they chose.

I chose number one, because you get great performance for your money, it will overclock very well, and that Sapphire dual fan setup is known to be one of the quietest most efficient setups on the market. If you have no objections to spending another $80, the 7970 reference will give you about a 10-15% performance increase (more when settings are maxed out) over the 7950 when they're both overclocked, but will be louder, eat more power and run hotter. So it's up to you:

7950:
-costs less
-quieter
-less performance

7970:
-better performance (especially on higher resolutions and when settings like AA are turned up)
-more expensive
-louder and hotter
