GTX 295 issues

Ok, so I got 2 295's today and when I turn my PC on I have to enable SLI. Do I have to do this every time or is there a setting to make it do it automatically? Also, MSI Afterburner only shows temperatures and usages of 3 gpu's instead of 4. How can I fix this?

I don't think the 200 series supports quad sli, only 3-way. Not sure about the SLI toggle though, you should only need to do it once, make sure you shut down properly and don't just hold the off button (it won't keep settings like that if you do).

With these settings both cards have green and blue lights. On boot only the first card will have a blue light then I change the settings to "Disable Multi-GPU" mode then back to "Maximize 3D Performance" and the second cards blue light will come on. Also if you look at the MSI Afterburner window there are only 3 GPU's showing up.

The 200 series does support quad SLI. I always do proper shut downs.

have you tried troubleshooting the card that shows only 1 gpu? one gpu on my gtx 295 died and I had to rma it. good thing they replaced it with a gtx 480

Eh, sounds like one of the GPU's is dead.. Try older drivers maybe? Say from when a GTX480 was new.. So June 2010?

Otherwise if it's dead there's not much you can do unless you want to try a resolder or a reseat of the cooler (it might be overheating?) You could RMA it depending on your warranty tongue.gif
You could use tri-sli 295's though which would be cool to have compared to regular quad 295 cores rolleyes.gif
