Most 13" models should have 6GB/s sata in them, as with the 2011 models, most do, some don't [my MBP 13" has Sata 6GB/s Sata ports, both for the "optical" and mechanical drive]

The interface is SATA 6 Gb/s. The drive must only be SATA 3 Gb/s which would make sense with what you're saying.

I work for an Apple reseller, I went out and checked our demo models. Drives are 3Gbps drives, connection is 6Gbps with a SATA III drive in place (one of ours has an SSD in it, it's @ 6Gbps)

Yes they have, actually. I had a '13 MBP ivy bridge model in my hands last week, and I was suprised to see it did actually utilize 4 threads.
