2500k @4.8 IBT passes but prime fails.

So i have my 2500k overclocked and when i run ibt for 20runs max ram it passes. This is at 1.385vcore in bios. Pll overvolt enabled and llc ultra high with cou current cap at 120%. Now the moment i run prime or linx it gives me the bsod code 101. Ive tried upping the vcore up to 1.4v but still the same. What is it with these programs that one is supposed to be better than the other yet it fails with another etc etc. any take on this? What do u guys think?
Max temps are 68 75 73 69 on a hyper 212+ pushpull. Asus p8z68 pro gen 3.
Thank you!

Manual voltage or offset?

Use Prime95 27.7 to check stablity for Sandybridge. 12-24 hours minimum. Setting of custom Blend, 90% ram used.

IBT and LinX does produce the heat, but SB can easily pass those tests, while prime95 errors in a couple minutes. You'll need more vcore for bsod 101.

If you're using prime 27.7 when it fails, try giving a little more volts to the memory controller. Because the AVX instructions in the new prime work so fast it actually taxes the memory controller significantly on the regular SB and IB chips. 26.6 is probably better for CPU only stress, although you will want to check memory as well. 27.7 is probably a better CPU test for SB-E since SB-E has double the memory bandwidth.

Which voltage is this?
Im at 1.42vcore now testing for 23mins and no errors. Temps sitting at 67 72 64 68 but have maxed up to. 71 77 77 73. Running prime 27.7 custom blend 7000mb of ram

I can't tell you honestly, you can increase your DRAM voltage to something like 0.25v above stock, but the IMC voltage is labelled differently on every manufacturers BIOS so I will wait for someone to come along who knows what it is called on your board.

I can say that even when Prime would crash in five minutes, I have never had IBT fail on me. Small FFTs for a couple hours, followed by a 90% ram custom blend set at one minute, were good indicators for me. Of course, there's no substitute for the standard 24 hour 90% blend test, but I saw that more as the "final exam" for my settings. Anyway, as best I can tell IBT is more or less useless for stability, though its great for checking max temps.

IBT for quick checks

12+hrs of Prime95 27.7 for general stability testing

24/7 folding for true stability....lol.

Folding since 6-10-12 at 4.7 GHz LLC 2 Max Voltage 1.416 Ya its stable:D

Like the others have said you may have to increase your Vcore and adjust the voltage to the memory controller as well as the ram.The run prime95 for 12 to 24 hours and keep a eye on the temps.
