Cinavia, this caused me to buy a D-Link Boxee. PS3 stopped being my media player a long time ago.
inclusion of Cinavia watermarking detection support became mandatory for all consumer Blu-ray players from 2012.

I haven't used my PS3 in months. It's mostly due to being too busy and I find it's easier to load a game up on my computer since I spend most of my time on it due to work and university. Funny thing is I am actually trying to sell it, haha.

I figured it would be another useless update, but then I saw this and was really happy.
"In addition, virtual surround sound mode will be enabled when playing back Blu-ray or DVD content to the wireless stereo headset."
They originally said the 7.1 Headset would only do stereo when playing back Blu-rays or DVDs, so this is a welcome change.
