Hd7750 BUY OR NOT HELP

Thread Starter
Is The AMD HD7750 a good card.

I want to upgrade my GPU without upgrading my PSU IF POSSIBLE.

Will it net me enough framerate 1600x900 (High Settings with 0xAA and 0xAF).

My mobo is Asus M2n68 AM Plus (AM2 board).
Will it result in any incompatibility issues.

If you could fill out the rig builder at the top right of the site and fill in your system specs, and show it in your sig, we can better help you.

Also, a HD 7750 can handle that screen res no problem.
And I don't see any incompatibility issues, except for you getting some bottlenecks with an older processor.

the 7750 is a great card, Tomshardware did a good review on it. Click Here

For HTPC or light gaming usage its great. Id go for the 7770 GHZ edition if i was to do more mainstream gaming. What types of games are you running? 1600x900 is by no means pushing resoulution on any current and previous gen card, going 1680x1050 or 1080 while running high->ultra settings on games is where alot of cards are being maxxxed out.

with the 7700 series at 1600x900 youll be able to play BF3 (the most gpu and cpu intensive game curently) at high settings With NO issues.
Skyrim would prolly play very well at High, Diablo 3, WOW , Mass Effect 3 would all play at max settings.

Take a look at the review hope it helps.

what PSU and what specs do you have? the AMPS on the 12v are the most important.

They are low power cards anything 400 watts or more with processor like the cx430 would power that card with no sweat at all.

Make sure you have matching ram so 2x2GB. So you can use dual channel. Vs it sounds like you have a 2GB and a 1GB chip. Swapping out that one chip to make 4GB in dual channel will help. But sounds like you'll be fine.
