A very tiny question!

Just bought a Dell XPS L502X laptop. Runs well and is good at any ways!

So the tiny problem is that the dxdiag shows me that i use Intel HD Graphics Family but i have second graphic card too : NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M. Im confised cause what GPU i use and how can i use NVIDIA one!


ANYWAY TELL ME UR THOUGHTS OF MY NEW LAPTOP GOOD OR NOT?:d

In the BIOS there might be an option to disable the on die graphics so it relies on the nVidia by itself. It'll probably cut in when you're using more intensive tasks either way though.

So I wouldn't worry about it, sounds like a good laptop you've got anyway. Should do you well thumb.gif

So there is no need to do anything in teh bios? Just it kinda switches graphic card when i play like BF3 or any other game? Is it really so smart computer? Just i have never seen!

Its just first time on laptop and im only proffesional on PC! SRY BAD ENGLISH!

Ah this is in an nvidia Optimus laptop. Above post is correct in saying that the dedicated GPU will kick in when required smile.gif I wouldn't worry about what DXDIAG says - as long as it doesn't report any problems.

Hey do you have any heating issues with yours ?

I own one and i really like it , but i have the 525M , and for some reason I have to have a cooling pad otherwise i get massive Frame Drops.
