Hi
I was told this game was just another 'FPS wannabe' and didn't warrant one's attention. Well....I highly disagree with that statement. This game (while yet another FPS) did not get nearly enough 'attention/press' as BF3 and COD MW3 did, however, this game appears to be very stable and to this point, bug free. Now everyone knows there are several bugs to be found as users acquire the full game. This of course is just the way things are. One cannot possibly develop ANY piece of software (especially games) that are bug free in nature, however, some do a lot better during their testing than others. It seems this game is worthy of purchasing if you like FPS type games.
I downloaded the entire game and have been playing non-stop (around Max Payne 3, Future Soldier and a few others) for the last 4 days or so. I have I guess what by today's standards would be a mid-class performance machine containing the following:
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T @4.3GHz
nVidia 570 GTX 1280MB GPU O/C a tad
Asus 990FX Sabertooth Mobo | Bios: 0802
I-Inc 28" 1920x1200 120Hz LED LCD
OCZ Agility III 128MB SATA-3 SSD x 2
WB Velociraptor 1TB 10K RPM HDD x 2
I guess it's just myself, I often think, however, I seem to have very good luck and performance when it comes to getting these newest games to run w/o any problems at all. Of course there is the Battlefield III issue that most have, however, I posted in this forum a temporary fix to allow many users to finally play...including myself.
With SpecOps, I obtain no less than 65 FPS with options set to max detail/quality. I run at 1920 x 1200 and use nVidiaInspector as needed to experiment with other manually induced settings. Below are a few screenshots I took just last night and while I forgot to note whether or not I had FXAA on or off, most have to admit that the graphics are very well indeed.
