The increase in crysis 2 performance is lovely! 12.7 rocks so far and BF3 also more FPS, an update so far so good.

Yeahh. I'm also starting to liking this beta 12.7. I'm coming from 12.4 whql. The performance increase in Battlefield 3 ( campaign and multiplayer ) is noticeable smile.gif. Also in Crysis 2. For now these are the only games i've tested. I'll update about performance increase in other games tongue.gif.

I did not notice any performance increase in BF3 skyrim or Heaven. I had issues with the install and now when i boot up it tells me i am missing a file that i guess has to do with open GL or some drag and drop feature in CCC which I have no clue what that is.

Hello, I registered to give feedback on this driver. I was using the 12.6 betas with no problem, tried to upgrade to these, and then experienced the loss of CCC, which required the AMD fix found @ http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/26494-Radeon-MOM-CCC-implementation.aspx . Used the fix mentioned previously to re-install drivers just in case my installation was bad.


    1. I am using an HDTV, so I always have the scaling onto make the image fit. I also have to use under scanning to get the image right. Nothing new.
    2. I am using 2 XFX 7970 Reference models in Crossfire. Here are some issues that are new to this driver specifically:
    3. Netflix has tearing near the bottom of the screen or in the browser. This was not an issue in 12.6 beta, but was/is an issue with 12.6 and 12.7 beta
    4. Id Software's Rage is flickering green with CF enabled, disabled, OCed, and at stock
    5. HDMI sound requires log off/log in to function properly. Otherwise it is choppy. I can also load a game and it will work as usual.
    6. Feels like a massive performance increase with BF3, Crysis 2, Batman AC, and less micro stutter overall (outside of the original Crysis, which only works well with CF disabled.

My rig: AMD 8150, Crosshair V, 16gb DDR3, 120gb SSD, 2TB HDD. 2 XFX Core 7970 in XFire (@ stock or @ 1000/1500 OC stable) Currently going through a 73 inch 1080P DLP TV.

Just installed 12.7 after a driver sweep and would like to mention that, for me at least, eyefinity wouldnt appear uintil I installed a manual download of Hydravision.

my setup is 3x 7970's.
About to test some software now.

No problems for TF2, Vindictus, BF3 and they run as smooth as before. Bitmining is also not affected. It's a bit strange, but L4D2 actually maxes out my 5870CF and my CPU (about 80~90%). I haven't had problems with AMD drivers since I started my first rig at 2009 and despite having a single or CF setup.

Most stable driver to date IMHO. All other drivers except 12.3 beta caused heat issues and high gpu usage on idle.

12.7 beta is definitely a keeper smile.gif

Hey Thracks, nice to see you poking in on OCN thumb.gif . I will try your install guide a little later for the 12.7 beta as I'm playing Diablo III. I'm still on 12.4 WHQL. +REP for your help. I do have one question for you, but not to heat anything up to much.

Do you think your "Driver Team" will get to the point of how Nvidias drivers install? You don't have to do anything but open the new driver, check "perform clean install" and then hit next and everything is done, reboot and your good to go. I build a lot of gaming PC's for a lot of people in my area and I can't go to every ones house and perform these long processes of installing drivers for them all every time a new one comes out that helps the new game they want to play. 90% of the PC's I build, the user is not even close to understanding these types of install instructions and I have to use a Nvidia card just to simplify things for them. I would love to use more AMD cards for people, but it's almost impossible. I've tried many times to run them through the install steps but just doesn't work for someone that doesn't understand and probably never will, but they all want to play games well and forget the rest.

Any incite would be appreciated bud.
