Huh what?? The rover runs on a thermoelectric generator that uses radioactive decay its not a nuclear reactor. The radiation that would come of it in a acceded is pretty damn low.

I'm curious, would the skycrane wreck burn in that atmosphere after the controlled crashing ?

No. By the time the sky crane is used they are already very close to the ground and moving relatively slow. When the sky crane detaches form the rover it will just get lighter fly away a bit from the rover and then literally drop like a stone resulting in a pile of scrap metal.

Pretty cool stuff. Working at a skydiving place makes me hope they have the chute completely secured and all of that stuff. Would hate for that to be the part that failed. Also seems like a lot of work on the chute for it to take it from 13,000 mph down to 900.

Something I never actually look up. How is the lag to remote the equipments? I mean if you remote to control to turn the camera, how many second or minute you'll see it turning? Even for getting the video feed...

To answer the question "if you remote to control to turn the camera, how many second or minute you'll see it turning" it would be anywhere from 6 to 44 mins as the control signal needs to travel to Mars and the video feed needs to travel back.
