It's the difference between getting something that is simply functional for work on the go and I don't have desktop access, or something that I would rather use in lieu of my desktop. It's the same reason I drive a 15 MPG Wrangler over an efficient subcompact. I could spend $25 a week in gas just getting around, or I could spend $40 in gas an enjoy the act of getting around itself.
Good memory. I don't even remember which thread I mentioned that in haha. That was the second time it was replaced too. It was a known design flaw, but I'm glad they owned up to it. I didn't have AppleCare either, so it was technically almost 4 years outside of warranty.

I very much agree with you.
I too had a great customer experience situation with Apple. I had a really 'sticky'/non-responsive home button on my iPhone 4, (that had a couple weeks left on warranty) so I made my way to the Apple store. I told the guy the problem, and for something that could be considered 'not-worthy' by most companies standards, he determined it was annoying enough to completely replace the phone with a refurbished phone that was exactly the same (which in Apple's case, may as well be a brand new one).
I'll also add that after dealing with this particular 'Genius', I can say I didn't feel that 'vibe' or stereotype that most people give Apple's flock. He was a very down to earth guy, and I was able to even have a level-headed conversation with him. It's the same reason that I will be back in a month for the iPhone I have now to be replaced. Out of warranty, but will be $149 to replace the entire phone apparently.
