AMD to Intel refit

Thread Starter
Hi, I've been wanting to get a more stable and powerful build and have decided it's time to jump the sinking ship. I have the i-7's in mind, but what would you guys think is the best upgrade to finish out my pc? This rig is for gaming almost exclusively, and I see an upgrade to the 7000 series gpus in the future, probably crossfire. Budget is around $600.

I am all for upgrading to Intel...but....the Phenom II X6 1100T is no slouch. I agree that AMD is a sinking ship,...but how on earth are you bottle-necking your Phenom II X6 1100T?

You will see no performance increase by upgrading to a Intel in games,...since no games can bottleneck a Phenom II X6 1100T that I know of. The only reason i could justify you moving to a I7, is if you were very serious about photo/video editing and did it on a daily basis.....but even then i would have a bit of a hard time justifying it.

Wait a bit. Don't buy a new processor because something better is out, buy a new processor because your current processor is holding you back in day-to-day activities.
