AMD A8-3870k APU benchmarked, with and without 6670 dual graphics. - Page 14

Have a look at the thread posted about the A10 Trinity APU. Went from something informative to a debate about which CPU puts out the most heat, and of course, the usual "LULZ AMD!!" comments abounded.

This was a surprise as I expected to see better performance out of this. But here it is damric. I will ad these to the OP as well.

Yes, dual graphics enabled. Some benches just dont go the way you think. redface.gif

However, I think the game shots speak for them self's. So far no game has been unplayable, which for a system that you can replicate for under 400 bucks is simply stunning. thumb.gif

P.S. On a side note, I get very little free time between taking care of my newborn son, and running my own business. Once everyone is taking care of and I have free time I come one here and post my findings to possibly help others, for no gain, so please be respectful when critiquing my results. We can compare stuff without being disrespectful.

Agreed. You'll never win them all. Like I said in an earlier post, these systems are even cheap here in South Africa. The chip, a very nice board, and 8gb of good ram will cost just under R3000.00. That's cheap in our terms. Drop in a HD6670 and it's R3800.00.

How many AMD guys does anyone see trolling the intel section? Providing proof to these imbeciles does nothing as it immediately turns into a link fest of the same old, out-dated and lopsided "benchmarks."

Intel chips are pretty easy to overclock as well, so it gets pretty boring over on their side biggrin.gif

Was that at stock or OC?

If you get time, could you post comparison of both stock and OC (both cpu and gpus)?

It was close to stock. 3.2GHz. I will do both after I bench BF3 later tonight.

For comparison my g850 can maintain playable frame rates for 200/200 ground battles in 2v2s.I chose not to get a graphics card and am running HD 2000 graphics.
.

Are you saying that your Intel HD 2000 iGP is comparable? there is no way you are playing 2v2 with a 200/200 battle and getting playable frame rates at the same graphic settings. No offense but HD 2000 pails in comparison to a 6550d not even their new 4000 igp can match it. So how bout running a benchmark for us to compare igp's. run Unigen Heaven 3.0 and post results? Would be really beneficial in this thread I think.

To all those interested in a build like this I have pretty much cloned mine here in this pic for ya. You can get the price down by like 50 bucks if you dont care about overclocking, but this board has cooled VRM's. Will ad to OP as well.

I hope you don't label me as them trolls biggrin.gif All I pointed out was stupid Monitor Market not letting low budget rigs appealing for games.

Now imagine that rig you posted for someone still has a CRT or 17" or 19" LCD, or if there were still small LCDs with low response times. Intel already sux in integrated gfx but they would go "oh noes" biggrin.gif I think anyone would be happy at 1280x1024 to 1600x1200 range with that rig.
