[Smithsonian] Scientists Discover That Mars is Full of Water - Page 2

They're basing this off the composition of meteorites? Speculation galore!

I say we go there and do some drilling, then we'll know for sure.
*has flashbacks of ME2*

I don't know if its sad or awesome that when I saw this thread title I thought The ASUS MARS is not water cooled.

How totally awesome would this be? Would the fact that they lived so long ago and the planet is effectively dead now mean that they wouldn't be around anymore? I mean I'd assume Martian fossils would be a whole lot older then fossils from earth and that whatever event happened there shook up the planet in a big way? Clearly I'm not a scientist, wink.gif.

I know the whole colonization of mars thing invovles teraforming the planet. Sounds amazing but at the same time impossibly expensive. When I was young I thought I'd see it in my lifetime but in the world we live in today I'm not sure it's going to happen anytime soon.

I want to see them find human remains, long dead.... Then that will cause waves with certain groups.

I wonder if there ever was a civilization below the surface. Holy cow imagine how our world would change over night with the discovery of some long lost ET life.
