How totally awesome would this be? Would the fact that they lived so long ago and the planet is effectively dead now mean that they wouldn't be around anymore? I mean I'd assume Martian fossils would be a whole lot older then fossils from earth and that whatever event happened there shook up the planet in a big way? Clearly I'm not a scientist,

I know the whole colonization of mars thing invovles teraforming the planet. Sounds amazing but at the same time impossibly expensive. When I was young I thought I'd see it in my lifetime but in the world we live in today I'm not sure it's going to happen anytime soon.
