I think it should be a fine rig. You may have to wait a while for the system to start up (not particularly useful while overclocking), but other than that it looks fine.
See if you can somehow squeeze an SSD in there, it'll save you a lot of time during overclocking or waiting for games to load. My old rig (sig) with a 1TB HDD had 15 second load times right after installation, but after loading it with programs, it slowed and slowed (sometimes to even 1 minute 30 seconds!). If you're much more patient than I am, go ahead. smile.gif

oh i see, somewhere down the line, i will get an SSD, for things like windows and maybe steam. more input would greatly be appreciated!
The build looks fine to me as well. I agree funfortehfun on the SSD, because you will truly see a performance boost with load times. I actually used a guide here on OCN for optimization of an SSD and it works well, not to mention the fact that it allowed me to install just the steam client on my SSD, making steam load MUCH quicker, while having my steam games on another drive. You could also use another program which will actually allow you to load a few games from Steam on your SSD and then switch them off of your SSD when you don't use them anymore or you have a new latest and greatest game you are playing. It's really cool and I would definitely advise the SSD. I was skeptical at first for the price, but with prices coming down and the benefit you get back, it is very much worth it!

I was trying to find other cases on newegg along with a corsair power supply, as they are amazing, to match what you are paying with that deal, because I saw that you said your budget is set with what you have above. I have never had any experience with Rosewill power supplies, so I won't say anything against them. I just would put my opinion forth with getting a corsair power supply because they are very reputable and reliable. The power supply is one component you don't want to pick wrong, so maybe more people can chime in on the Rosewill power supply.

Other than that looks fine. Nice pick on the Noctua too thumb.gif! The color scheme is not my favorite, but it performs VERY well! Take that Corsair H-series! tongue.gif lol

EDIT:: You did include Windows 7 x64 in your budget correct? I was just browsing other threads and saw that they had it in their budget, but you didn't have it in yours. You don't want to forget something as important as your OS haha biggrin.gif

Look up Sean Webster's SSD guide. You can even look it up on Google, and it'll pop up! It has everything on buying, managing, etc. an SSD!
