Hey guys,
Got a problem here.

Getting serious lag spikes or stuttering with the CPU, have no idea what's causing it but the game literally stops and then stars again it's that bad. Not a slow down, it stops. Doesn't happen always but every 3-4 seconds it does and usally happens in rapid succession.
CPU was set at deafault settings, I have it now OCed slightly to 4.3ghz, no change. GPU usage is low, around the 50% mark and CPU usage is high but not over 80%. Hyperthreading is off, this didn't effect it at all. Windows core parking is off, this didn't help. All my settings are currently on low. Ultra makes no difference, AA makes no difference. CPU ain't too hot, it's never above 55-60deg, GPUs are never above 50-60deg because as I said they aren't being used more than 50%.
I'm really confused. It isn't the GPU, it worked fine in quad SLI with my i7 2700k system I recently sold and quad SLI was smooth as butter, not to mention this happens regardless of settings, low, high, ultra etc. Limiting the FPS produces horrible results and it's better not limiting it.
My specs are:
Windows 7 64bit
i7 3820 HT off with default settings
ASUS X79 Sabertooth
Corsair Vengeance RAM 8GB @ 1600mhz
EVGA GTX 690 @ default
Corsair 60GB Force 3 SSD
Silverstone Strider Gold 1000w
What could cause a CPU to behave like this? Couldn't be the video drivers, in the graph the GPU is uneffected, yet the CPU is just stopping for some reason. Could it be the RAM? I did have issues with the RAM when building/installing Windows 7. Will try changing DIMM slots which was the problem but I'm doubtful it will work.
Please help
EDIT: Have tried different motherboards, different CPUs all with the same problem. What could be causing this kind of CPU behavior? Because on low settings in BF3 an i7 3930k with a GTX 690 doesn't have any performance issues, alos have very low and bad 3DMark 11 scores around P12000 which is also bad.
